Con Dao Highlights (02Days/01Night)

Day 1: CON DAO HIGHLIGHTS (L, D)

Morning: Arrive in Con Dao. A tour guide will pick you up and show you around the port. This is the largest port and is the main economic center of the island. Drive back to Con Dao main town by car, passing through the following points:

Visit and take souvenir photos at Nhat Bay. Watch the White Stone Beach, White Shark Point. Visit the memorial statue which commemorates the greatest escape in Con
Island history.
Visit Phi Yen Temple (Anshan Temple), where Phi Yen Queen– second wife of Lord Nguyen Anh is worshiped. The temple is related to the famous saying: “The wind brings the cabbage away, leaving the laksa leaves with the bitterness”. On the road you will have a chance to admire the beauty of An Hai lake.
You will be driven back to down town, check in at your hotel and have lunch.

Afternoon: Our tour guide will take you to the following historical remains in the town center:

Island King Palace: you will be explained about Con Dao history and presence. View the historical objects displayed here.
Phu Hai Camp: this is the oldest prison built by the French, famous for its underground mill, isolated detention and the Kunlun stone dam, where the patriot Phan Chu Trinh was once detained.
French Tiger Cage: It is also known as Phu Tho camp, is the focal point of Con Dao prison with a system of tiger cages built solidly between the buildings like a maze. See the cages and get an idea how the prisoners are tortured.
American Tiger Cage: It is also known as Phu Binh camp with ranges of small and damp cells built in 1971. It is mostly used to mentally torture prisoners. It is the first point to receive the news of Saigon being liberated.
Isolated Cow Barn: The barn was used to cattle during the French and Americans regime. This place used to torture prisoner by soaking them into the cow dung.
Have dinner at local restaurant.

Evening: Free time to visit Con Dao at night.

Day 2: CON DAO THE BLUE GEMS (B, L, D)

Morning: Breakfast will be served at your hotel. A car will pick you up and drive you along the Co Ong coastal path to reach Trau Bay (Bai Dam Trau), one of the most beautiful and wildest beach on the island. On the way, you will visit Cau Temple (Mieu Cau), where Prince Cai (son of Phi Yen and Lord Nguyen Anh) is worshiped. You can have free swimming and enjoy fresh seafood at Trau Bay (Dam Trau) (cost is on your account). The car will drive you back to the hotel to check out and have lunch.

Afternoon: You can use your free time to do shopping at the island. Around 14h00, we will drive you to Nui Mot Temple, the only temple in the island. A light lunch will be served at local restaurant. After that, you will be driven to Ben Dam Port , get boarding to go back to Saigon.

PRICE FOR CHILDREN:

Children under 6: free, eat and sleep with parents.
Children aged 6-11 years: 50% of adult rate, including meals and seat, sharing beds with parents
Children 12 years and older: 100% of adult rate.
Guests with 02 children under 05 years old: a ticket at 50% adult rate is required in order for food, car seat and entrance ticket to be arranged for the kids.
